LHC HORROR MOVIE & MEET-UP (SOLD OUT)

We invite you to join us for a Liverpool Horror Club gathering in July! We’ll be screening a horror movie plus extra LHC content and fun. This is all about getting our extended community back together following our recent hiatus. 

Our host for the evening is the wonderful LOVELOCKS COFFEE SHOP, which is just 5 mins walk from Queens Square bus station. This isn’t a big venue – capacity is approx 30-35ish – so we shall be having our spooky get-together two nights in a row. We would ask you to pick one night or the other, in order to double up on the amount of people who can attend. (If we have spare spaces, we will invite people to come on both nights.)

Q. “But what movie are you going to show???”
Well, that is indeed a very reasonable question to ask. However, we’ve decided to keep it a secret until the night! We’ve selected a couple of under-the-radar movies that we think will be boss to watch with a group of like-minded horror fans. Do not expect serious, creepy, or classic horror, but rather bonkers and fun films. The Friday night movie is late 1980s, and the Saturday film is post 2000s.  

Q. “Will there be alcohol?”
Yes, Lovelocks have an alcohol licence for the events. We’ll share a menu of what’s available in the days beforehand.

Q.“I’ve never been to a Liverpool Horror Club event before…”
We aim to be a welcoming group and do our best to integrate new folk into the fold. Most people from our local community have been newbies at some point – so if this is your first time with LHC, you’re coming on your own, or even if you’re just feeling a bit anxious about socializing – then let us know and we will endeavour to introduce you to some friendly faces. 

ON THE NIGHT…
Alongside screening an unnamed feature film, we will also have…

+ SHORT FILMS
We shall be pairing the feature film with a few short films to get you in the mood 

+ HORROR PUB QUIZ
there will be horror pub quiz +plus prizes. 

+ LUCKY DIP MOVIE SWAP
Choose a DVD or BluRay from your collection that you want to share with somebody else. Gift wrap the movie and bring it along. These will all go into a lucky dip box on the night, and in return you receive a random movie which another member has brought along to swap. 

TICKET BOOKING
This is a digital booking. You will not receive a physical ticket in the post, nor do you need to print anything out. We just need your name & booking code on the door.

ACCESSIBILITY
Lovelocks Coffee Shop is on street level and is wheelchair accessible. 

Also, we will provide a free ticket for carer supporting a person attending the event. Please contact us in advance to reserve this extra space. Or if you have particular requirements, please get in touch so we can best accommodate individual needs.

CONCESSIONS
We are a grassroots event and our local community is very important to us. If you would like to attend the event but cannot afford the admission fee, then please get in touch (email below) and we will happily provide a ticket free of charge. No explanations are required, we simply need your contact details for the door. Concession tickets are limited in number.
