LIVERPOOL HORROR FESTIVAL 2019

We return with our flagship festival celebrating horror in its many glorious forms!
This is a full day event from 12 midday until 12 midnight, on Saturday 17th August 2019
During the daytime we will have panels featuring guests speakers from the horror industry, there’ll be short films, competitions, prizes and more. This will be followed by a screening of a horror movie, and then we will entertain you with comedy, poetry, performers and music until midnight.
We will be announcing guest names, subjects of panels, performers, bands and other content over the coming weeks via our social media pages.
12 midday – 6pm // All ages welcome
We have a fascinating selection of panels lined up throughout the day. Our guest panelists will be actors, filmmakers and experts who work in many facets of the horror genre.
A room full of independent traders with soooo much boss horror merch to get your hands on! Prints, posters, t-shirts, comics, zines, books, punk cross stitch, customised clothing, clocks, chopping boards, pins, props, cushions, bags, purses, mirrors, memorabilia and more!
There’ll also be a workshop and activity area to keep young ones and crafters busy!

HORROR VIDEO GAMES ROOM // Bitlord Games
We have a room of horror gaming for you to enjoy: from old retro titles – to modern consoles – to VR systems. Play for free all day long, we’ll have gaming tournaments & prizes too.
The daytime portion of the event is child & family friendly – we gladly welcome the next generation of horror fans into our midst!
7.30pm – 12 midnight // over +18s only
As night falls we’ll be revving up the attitude with a cracking evening of horrific entertainment. We have comedy, poetry, short films, tall tales, games & burlesque. Plus some incredible horror music & bands to take us to the midnight hour.
INTERVAL // 6pm – 7.30pm
The daytime portion of the event ends at 6pm and doors open for the evening section at 7.30pm. You can use this opportunity to stretch your legs and grab some food – our buddies, Evil Eye Burrito Bar will be providing onsite catering.
To keep you entertained, we shall also be screening a horror movie. The title is tbc, but it will be an certificate 18+ film.
VHS FESTIVAL PACK
This year, we have festival packs available to purchase which you can collect at the event. They cost £8 as an advance pre-order, or £10 on the day of the event.
When you order a VHS festival pack, you will receive the following:

The attached pictures are of a sample VHS festival pack to give you an idea what you can expect to receive. However, exact contents will vary and each festival pack will be slightly different.
The USB flash drive will be loaded with digital horror content, such as videos, short films, music tracks, literature, artwork and more. The VHS box & lanyard in the photos shows placeholder graphics which are subject to change. Your mini-fig and fridge magnet will feature a randomly chosen horror character. Your halloween treats could be fangs, blood capsules, tattoos, bugs, or other weird little items. And the A2 event poster will be a design created by the brilliant Uncle Frank Productions to be revealed nearer the time.
HORROR FEST ’19 T-SHIRT
We will be launching a new t-shirt design for the festival, which is available to pre-order and collect at the event. They cost £8 as an advance pre-order, or £10 on the day.

Attached photo of t-shirt is our 2018 festival tee. We’ll have a new design for this year’s fest which will be unveiled nearer the time. Put your trust in Uncle Frank Productions that it’ll be truly fab piece of artwork that you’ll be proud to wear on your torso.

Free admission for children under 12, but they must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The daytime portion of the event (up to 6pm) is child & family friendly. However the evening is over 18s only. ID will be required (Challenge 25).
PLEASE NOTE: This is a digital booking – you will NOT receive a physical ticket in advance of the event. T-shirts & festival packs are to be collected in person on the day.
Our hosts again this year are The Invisible Wind Factory. This is a fantastic independent venue full of character and weird decor. It’s based just outside of the city centre the North Docks and is operated by the Kazimier crew!

The daytime event takes place across the ground floor and basement of our venue – the traders marketplace on the groundfloor, all other content (panels, talks, video games, etc) will be in the basement. The evening portion of the event is solely located in the basement.
We are sorry to report that the basement can ONLY be accessed via stairs. There is currently no usable lift. We are very sorry that this is the case, and sincerely apologise that it may affect peoples ability to attend and enjoy our event.

We will happily provide a free ticket for a carer supporting a person attending the event. Please contact us in advance to reserve this additional ticket.
We are a grassroots event and our local community is very important to us.
If you would like to attend the event but cannot afford the admission fee, then please get in touch as we will happily provide a ticket free of charge. No explanations are required, we simply need contact details and to confirm whether you would like to attend the daytime, evening, or the full event. (Concession tickets are limited in number.)
Conversely, you may make a Pay It Forward contribution. Each fee given in this way will allow us to provide an additional free concession ticket.
